RULES

This page will provide all information necessary for signing up and competing in your first tournament.

Let’s get those dubs!

Tournament Sign Up

Whether flying solo or playing with a teammate, this is your guide to getting started. Join our discord here before preceding.

Once you’ve joined the discord server, you can navigate to the Start-Here channel for more info. If you’re interested in competing but don’t have a teammate, you can navigate to the Free-Agents channel and sign up as one yourself, or recruit someone else who’s looking for a team using the various buttons.

Heads up! In order to limit smurfing in rank specific tournaments, we require role verification before joining. Post a pic of you valorant tracker in the rank roles channel, and we’ll get it all sorted!

The discord bot communicates primarily through dm’s, so keep an eye out! Once you’ve found a teammate and come up with a witty name to suit your team, it’s time to sign up for a tournament. Navigate to the Tournament channel where you can view the various tournaments, when they occur, and several other details.

The two types of tournaments we host are scrims, and prized tournaments, both weekly. In order to join a prized tournament, one member of your team needs to have purchased a 10$ tournament pass, which will provide entry for both teammates. The prize is given to the first place team and varies depending on how many teams sign up. Scrims follow the same formatting as prized tournaments, except they’re free entry with no prize pool.

On tournament Day

Before you compete in your first tournament there are a few minor details and rules we’d like you to follow. After you’ve signed up for your tournament, the bot will dm you with reminders once the start time gets closer. You must check-in at least 10 minutes before the tournament starts (bot dm’s once 2 hours remain with details) or risk disqualification.

Sign up closes 8 hours before the tournament starts, at this point, teams are not allowed to withdraw or disband. Once the tournament has started, you will see two chats open up, one labeled info-(name of tournament) and chat-(name of tournament). From now on, everything you do will be directed through these channels, and only the people participating in the tournament have access.

The info channel will allow you to view the bracket, and report your match scores. You will need to click the View Standings button in order to find your first round opponents. It is the responsibility of the attacking team (indicated by ⚔️) to create the custom, and post the room code in the chat. The defending team will then join via that room code. Make sure the map is correct, and cheats are turned off. Once finished, use the Report Match Result button to submit your scores. Your opponents will receive a dm, and need to verify whether the score is correct. If an incorrect score is implemented, ping the mod role and someone will check it out,

Note: Servers are required to be central unless something else is agreed upon by both parties.

Please use the VC function in the server to talk to your partner. In case of any disputes, we want to be able to directly talk to both parties. If you don’t want people joining, create a locked VC and allow your partner to join.

If there are any disputes, please reach out to a mod. These guidelines are set in place to limit conflict, but its only natural. We ask that whatever conclusion the parties come to, its a mutual one.

Rules/Formatting

We hope our previous instructions have been easy to follow! If your ever struggling our mod team is happy to help.

Fortunately, signing up is the hardest part! The rules are straightforward and stem directly from the game we all know and love.

1. Absolutely zero cheating allowed. This means that any exploits and bannable offenses declared by riot (including smurfing) will cause an immediate ban from the server as well as fines or potential legal action. (check TOS for more info)

2. When competing in prized tournaments, it is against the rules to have an unmuted 3rd party. This will result in disqualifications to both parties.

3. We retain the right to disqualify you from current tournaments and revoke your right to compete as we see fit. This includes the breaking of Discord’s TOS as well as the rules made prevalent through our Discord server Stay Mad Valorant 2v2’s.

We hope to allow people to compete while maintaining a respectful, welcoming community. As long as you adhere to the rules, the mod team will stay out of the way, and no consequence’s will be permitted.

Games are played in the normal Valorant style (first to 13, win by 2) except there are a few differences.

1. In order to make defending easier, the bomb needs to be planted on a specific site. What site they need to plant at depends on the round, and alternates. This means on maps with two sites, round 1 is site A, round 2 is site B, and so on. On maps with 3 sites the premise is exactly the same, except round 3 is C site, and then the cycle repeats.

This being said, the entire map is still open. Attackers and defenders can choose to lurk wherever, and flank from a site other than the one selected for the round. The only caveat is that if they choose to plant the bomb, they have to plant at the chosen site.

If for whatever reason the bomb is planted at the wrong site, then the attackers are required to forfeit the round by allowing the other team to defuse. At this moment neither team may shoot each other. If this fails to happen, and the attacking team wins a round in which they planted at the wrong site, they are disqualified and should immediately get in contact with a mod to sort things out.
